Wuling Cherry Blossom Festival Until 2/29 – Taichung City Transportation Bureau‘s First Taichung go Combo Ticket is a Hot Seller!

Recognized as the premier destination for cherry blossom viewing in Taiwan, Wuling Farm's Cherry Blossom Festival enchants visitors with its breathtaking sea of pink blooms. The Taichung City Transportation Bureau is pleased to announce that their special shuttle service has received excellent feedback, with 130 bus trips dispatched as of February 15. Daily tickets for the cherry blossom shuttle are still available, offering a hassle-free way to immerse yourself in the floral wonderland of Wuling Farm. This year's festival runs until February 29. For the first time, the Transportation Bureau has introduced the "Taichung go Combo Ticket × Wuling Blossom Season Transportation Pass," combining a 48-hour bus pass, Lishan-Wuling Farm shuttle, and hotel discounts for an all-in-one experience. Tickets for peak dates sold out quickly, so don't miss your chance to enjoy this affordable and charming way to celebrate cherry blossom season!

According to Director General Yeh Chao-fu of the Transportation Bureau, the Wuling Cherry Blossom Festival, a major spring event in central Taiwan, kicked off on February 8. To ensure smooth traffic flow during the festival, vehicle restrictions are in place around Wuling Farm. Vehicles without a Wuling Farm-issued permit are not allowed to enter. Visitors wishing to enjoy the romantic sea of flowers should pre-book the Fengyuan Bus Route 865 (including district routes) to Lishan online or by phone. Taichung citizens using the exclusive Taichung Citizen Transportation Card can enjoy the ""Double Ten Ride Discount,” so rides under 10 kilometers are free, and trips over 10 kilometers cost a maximum of NT$10. The next day, passengers can transfer to the "Lishan-Wuling Farm" cherry blossom shuttle to reach Wuling Farm.

The Transportation Bureau indicated that there are two ways to purchase tickets for the "Lishan-Wuling Farm" cherry blossom shuttle during the festival. The first is to pre-purchase shuttle tickets (including Wuling Farm admission) through the "TBS Taipei Bus Station" app. The second is to buy tickets on-site by queuing at the Lishan Visitor Center between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. each day for the following day's tickets, with a maximum purchase limit of 6 tickets per person. Tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served basis, and any remaining tickets will be available for purchase on the day of departure.

Director-General Yeh noted that the cherry blossom shuttle operates three times daily, with additional buses dispatched as needed based on demand. The shuttle stops at Lishan, Songmao, Huanshan Community, Miaopu, and Wuling Farm, with round-trip service on the same bus. Many cherry blossom viewing enthusiasts return year after year and praise the experience as reminiscent of viewing romantic cherry blossoms in Japan. In addition to the regular shuttle service, the Transportation Bureau added extra trips last weekend (February 10 and 11) for the most popular morning sessions to accommodate the large crowds.

According to the Transportation Bureau, Wuling Farm boasts over 16,000 cherry trees, creating a breathtaking floral spectacle. This year, the Bureau has launched a special "Taichung go Combo Ticket × Wuling Blossom Season Transportation Pass," offering domestic and international visitors a 48-hour Taichung go bus combo ticket, round-trip shuttle between Lishan and Wuling Farm, Wuling Farm admission, and a NT$300 hotel discount at Guguan. Six reserved seats are also available on specified trips of the 865 district "Guguan-Lishan" bus route, encouraging visitors to use public transport to reach Guguan for an overnight stay before continuing their journey to Lishan the next day. We welcome everyone to purchase these tickets!

The Taichung go Combo Ticket can be used on bus routes 111, 170, 308, 310, 678, and 688 to reach Taichung Port. For the first time, Taichung City has partnered with Mitsui Outlet Park Taichung Port to launch the "Taichung go Prestige Shopping Tour." Mitsui Outlet Park Taichung Port is sponsoring 300 free tickets for the "Taichung Star Ferris Wheel," allowing visitors to enjoy the spectacular view of the blue ocean at Taichung Port from up high. In addition to purchasing the Taichung go Combo Ticket, passengers holding valid "Central Region TPASS" or "Taichung City TPASS ," as well as specific bus tickets or travel passes, such as "Taichung Sightseeing Bus 151/153/309/66 Extension," "Taiwan Tourist Shuttle 11 (Taichung Midtown Bus Loop)/888 (Fengyuan-Houli Route)," can also receive limited "Mitsui Outlet Park Taichung Port Value Coupons" and "Mitsui Outlet Park Taichung Port NT$ 100 Discount Vouchers" at the first-floor service center of Mitsui Outlet Park Taichung Port during the campaign period.
